Dr Ujwala Parashar

Dr Ujwala Parashar is a female obstetrician and gynaecologist who is based in Sydney's north shore where she lives with her family. Born in India to doctor parents, she wanted to pursue a career in medicine since a very young age. After migrating to Australia with her husband she followed her dream of providing best possible care to women and their families. She has two wonderful daughters who continue to inspire her to help parents and their families. Dr Parashar is fluent in English, Hindi and Bengali languages. 

Professional Career

After completing her MBBS, Dr Parashar moved to Australia to pursue her specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Royal North Shore Hospital. As part of her specialist training she worked in some of the most prestigious hospitals in Sydney. Most recently, she completed a year at the Westmead hospital as Gynaecology fellow. Previously she successfully completed Allan Ferrier Memorial Fellowship at North Shore Private Hospital and the Mater Hospital. During her fellowship years, she had the opportunity of working in an extremely busy hospital setting managing complex obstetric patients and helping women with incontinence and prolapse issues.

Dr Parashar's special interest is in Urogynaecology. She has trained under some of a best urogynaecologists in Sydney during her fellowship and now continues to passionately help women with incontinence and prolapse issues with a holistic approach. She regularly participates in medical student teaching, attends and presents in conferences and stays informed of the latest evidence-based practice in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.


Dr Ujwala Parashar is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
